Riding onwards, we soon saw ominous clouds and lightning ahead. We breaked for awhile hoping it would pass and were glad we did because further on, the roads were soaked. The ride was smooth and uneventful riding into Canon city. We grabbed supper and than proceeded to find lodging for the night. We tried several houses without much luck but we were blessed with meeting a Baptist pastor who agreed to let us stay in their church after their Wednesday night service. The service was great with the sermon being on Satan's failed attempts to disrupt the early church.
After the sermon, we made camp in the back. The church had a shower and kitchen area which was great. After cleaning up, we sat around and talked for a bit before hitting the sack. We were grateful to be inside because of the threat of storms. It was truly a blessings from God.
Wow i just keeping getting more jealous at each new post. sounds awesome.
