Blessings from fellow Christians

6/14/09 ~ Waking up to a foggy morning, we got our stuff together and headed out. It was so foggy moisture was condensing on our arm hairs as we road. We rode 25 miles to Cheyenne Wells and breaked in a gas station. After doing some route planning, we decided to take an easy day today. This opened up some time and we rode down the street to a local church and headed in for the service.
The people there were incredible friendly to us and talked with us about our experiences. They felt led to pray for us during the service and were an incredible amount of encouragement to us. After the service, we spoke to the Pastor who proceeded to tell us that not only were we being blessed by the people but we were an encouragement to him as well. This had an impact on us as we realized that we weren't just taking from the people we met but that we had a positive influence on them. Another thing that stood out was that the pastor left us with the words, "well if I don't see you before, I'll see you in Heaven." It was great to realize that all the Christians we have met along the way, we will one day see again and be able to thank them once again.
A couple we met at the church offered to take us to the local diner. We had all you can eat home cooking and got to know Scott and Joyce. Scott was the farmer of a small plot of land of 860 acres. He also was a crop duster. This was incredible and he told us all about how he flies planes over fields spraying the crops as he goes. We even dropped into his house and he showed us his two planes and many other toys in his Hanger.
We rode on two Kansas and Sharon Springs where we met some awesome people at the local Methodist Church. They offered to let us sleep in the church and Kathy even prepared a whole meal for us. The people that we have met have been such an incredible blessing to us it can't be described.
